Two people were killed and 10 were injured on Sunday in an explosion at a cafe in southeast Turkey, state-run Anatolian news agency reported.
It said 10 other people were injured in the blast and taken to nearby hospitals in Van province. The cause of the blast was not immediately clear.
Turkey was rocked by a string of bomb attacks at the end of August in which three people were killed and dozens were wounded. A shadowy Kurdish militant group has claimed responsibility for those blasts which targeted holiday resorts.
A police officer was one of those killed in the explosion which occurred around 9 p.m. (1800 GMT) in the Gumus tea garden in the Catak district of Van, the NTV Web site said.
Leftist and Islamist groups have also carried out bomb attacks in the past.
