The Turkish national basketball team was badly beaten by Olympic gold winner Argentina on Tuesday in their quarter-final match at the 15th World Basketball Championship, losing the match 58-83.

Turkey's '12-Giant Men' barely managed to keep the impressive South Americans at bay in the first quarter, which ended with the score of 18-14.

However, the Argentinean team clearly dominated the rest of the game, increasing the point deficit up to 30 points.

Turkey can still fight for 5th place in the tournament.
